Catherine R. Pakaluk is an assistant professor of economics in The Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business and Economics, where she specializes in applied microeconomics and political economy. She is also a Faculty Fellow at the university’s Institute for Human Ecology. In 2015, she received the Acton Institute’s Novak Award, a prize given for “significant contributions to the study of the relationship between religion and economic liberty.” Formerly, she was assistant professor and chair of the economics department at Ave Maria University. She served as the scientific director for the Catholic Mental Models Project, a research effort supported by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
