Joseph LaPorte is a professor of philosophy at Hope College, Holland Michigan where he’s taught since earning his PhD in 1998. He has published two books, Natural Kinds & Conceptual Change (Cambridge UP, 2004) and Rigid Designation and Theoretical Identities (Oxford UP, 2013), both supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
