Sree Sreenivasan is Columbia University's first Chief Digital Officer and a member of the faculty of Columbia Journalism School, where he he has been teaching for 20 years. His focus has been on digital and social media and how to understand and use technology in smarter ways. He writes the SreeTips blog for CNET and appears regularly on CBS and elsewhere to talk tech. He is co-founder of SAJA, the South Asian Journalists Association, a group of 1,000+ journalists across the US and Canada. He was named one of AdAge's 25 media people to follow on Twitter; and one of Poynter's 35 most influential people in social media.
